OMEGA marked the Lunar New Year in sparkling style with the unveiling of its latest Flagship Store design concept at Hong Kong's first ever OMEGA Flagship at No. 12 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui on 13 January 2009 . The newly designed and expanded Canton Road Flagship was re-introduced to Hong Kong 's watch aficionados with the presence of local celebrities Ms. Vivian Chow, Ms. Amanda Strang and Ms. Mandy Lieu and a theme of "Sparkling New Year" that showcased OMEGA's highlight Fine Jewellery watches for 2009.

The Canton Road store was Hong Kong's first OMEGA Flagship and was first launched in May 2003 in the heart of Hong Kong 's world-famous shopping thoroughfare of Canton Road . With the ongoing effort of O MEGA, t he last six years OMEGA had rapidly expand ed its Flagship presence to a total of seven Flagship boutiques in Hong Kong and two in Macao . Performance of OMEGA in the local market can be evident, with Canton Road store in particular, which is now the world's best selling OMEGA Flagship Store.

This event was officiated by Mr. Kevin Rollenhagen, President of OMEGA Greater China and Mr. Jimmy Mak, Vice President of OMEGA Hong Kong and celebrity Ms. Vivian Chow.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Kevin Rollenhagen, President of OMEGA Greater China said, "OMEGA is delighted to further extend the boundaries of our retail experience in Hong Kong . Not only will the new design provide a beautiful environment on par with the beauty and style of our timepieces, but it offers an improved and more enjoyable shopping experience and enables us to further upgrade our world-class services."

The new concept revolves around a theme about the cycle of nature that ties in perfectly with the raw physical brilliance of diamonds, which are used to stunning effect in some of this season's highlight collections. Among the highlight features is a built-in LED wall that makes exciting use of the entire store façade , it will surely impress the visitors upon the arrival.

The opening ceremony began with an exciting drum performance at the shop front , setting the New Year tone and capturing the attention of passers-by.

Following the ribbon cutting, the guests ventured inside where Mr. Kevin Rollenhagen welcomed everyone with a short speech. Afterwards, Ms. Vivian Chow express ed her deep appreciation for the OMEGA brand and her enthusiastic reaction to the new Flagship Store. She also shared her best wishes for the Lunar New Year to Hong Kong and gave some thoughts on how to celebrate the holiday and how watches can be the ideal fashion accessories for that perfect New Year look.

Continuing the Lunar New Year theme, all the officiating guests lighted the firecracker blubs to unveil highlights of the OMEGA collect ions , the collection included Seamaster Planet Ocean Fine Jewellery watch, Seamaster Aqua Terra Jewellery watch and Constellation Quadrella High Jewellery watch.
