Renowned for its cutting-edge technology, exceptional design and creative use of material, world distinguished watch brand RADO held a RADO r5.5 Light Painting Party at Privé, in the evening of 12 th March 2010, to celebrate of the birth of its latest masterpiece - r5.5, jointly created by the brand and world renowned designer Jasper Morrison. Dr. Hans J. Roth, Consul-General of Switzerland in Hong Kong, actress Miss Annie Liu, music producer and composer Mr. Pong Nan, award-winning architect Mr. Barrie Ho and talented fashion designer Mr. Pacino Wan were invited to join hands with Mr. Kevin Rollenhagen, Country Manager of The Swatch Group (HK) Limited and Miss Shirley Mok, Vice President of RADO, Hong Kong and Macau, to officiate at the launch ceremony. The party featured a spectacular light painting session. Attending guests were invited to design their own light paintings hence experience the joy of creating "visionary, innovative and iconic" designs.

Well decorated in an appealing combination of light and shade, rhythmic music and refined wine and delicate snacks, guests were invited to enjoy an exceptional RADO r5.5 evening. A specially-designed showcase was set up to display the new r5.5 collection, and the exquisite RADO r5.5 dessert acted as a stunning surprise. To commence the launch ceremony, master of the ceremony Mr. Shaun Tam invited Miss Shirley Mok, Vice President of RADO, Hong Kong and Macau , to deliver a welcoming speech. Mr. Pacino Wan, Mr. Barrie Ho, Mr. Pong Nan and Miss Annie Liu were then invited on stage to share their insights into creativity, and to join Mr. Kevin Rollenhagen and Miss Shirley Mok for a special toast. Afterwards, the guests were invited to view an enchanting "RADO r5.5 Lights Up The World" slide show, which was specially-created for the party, manifesting how RADO r5.5 is to create a major sensation worldwide. The guests were all thrilled by the creativity, innovation and technology demonstrated by the host.

In order to encourage the attending guests to exercise their creativity, RADO had set up two light painting booths at the party. Guests were invited to do their own light painting creations and enter the on-site Light Painting Design Competition. Members of the judging panel - Miss Shirley Mok, Mr. Pacino Wan, Mr. Barrie Ho, Mr. Pong Nan and Miss Annie Liu - had a difficult time selecting "The Most Creative Light Painting Work for the Night" from the numerous interesting entries. Finally, a winner was chosen to receive a RADO watch, presented by Miss Shirley Mok and Miss Annie Liu.
