The jury of the "Grand Prix de la Villa de Geneve" has awarded its general prize covering all product categories to Vacheron Constantin's Lady Kalla diamond watch design. This model furthermore received the "Best Jewelry Watch" award. Competing in the luxury watchmaking category, Lady Kalla drew ahead of its distinguished peers on the strength of its outstanding aesthetic qualities.

Vacheron Constantin's uncontested reference in the jewelry watch category, sculpted in an ingot of 18K white gold, the Lady Kalla design is set with more than 120 emerald-cut white diamonds, carefully selected and matched for purity, colour and cut, while the dial itself is paveed with 15 emerald-cut diamonds - making for a total of over 30 carats of dazzling gemstones.

Wedding luxury watchmaking to gem jewelry at its finest, the Lady Kalla design comes equipped with a fine, baguette-shaped, 17-jewel hand-wound mechanical movement with a rate frequency of 19,800 v.p.h., enhanced like all Vacheron Constantin movements with a "Cotes de Geneve" decorative pattern. The winding crown is placed under the movement so as to give light unhindered access to every single diamond facet...

As the world's oldest full-fledged watch manufacturer in continuous operation since its inception, Vacheron Constantin draws on its vast body of traditions to design and make watches like no others, expressing the spirit of today yet unfettered by the limitations of fashion. Its master watchmakers have over the centuries learned to weave technical excellence and aesthetic verve into a very real if immaterial signature that is theirs alone. Lady Kalla stands as a case in point, duly saluted by the recognized experts forming the jury of this year's prize awards, ably presided by Alain Vaissade, head of the City of Geneva's Cultural Affairs Department.

Price in Hong Kong: HK$3,465,000
