Genève Seal meets Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC)
EXCALIBUR - The Perfection Pursuer
In 1886, the Canton Genève instituted a certificate of origin setting specifications of quality and styling within reach of only the most capable watchmakers, aiming to protect its industry from counterfeiting and keep its dominant position. Only movements that have been assembled and adjusted in Canton Genève by a locally based company can apply for this valuable certificate. Movement sealed with «Côtes de Genève» has its own past and characteristics that give it its inalienable identity.

Gaining the Genève Seal of each single movement would not satisfy the perfectionism, ROGER DUBUIS. To achieve a breakthrough, new movements are sent to the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) for certifying the accuracy and precision. This year, it announced four new movements, EXCALIBUR occupied three of them: RD520, RD14B and RD781. Being granted by the COSC and Genève Seal, RD520 is perfection with a double guarantee of quality and accuracy.

EXCALIBUR Visible Micro-rotor Automatic Tourbillion
The first self-winding tourbillion by a micro-rotor
Equipped with the new movement RD520 certified by the COSC and sealed with «Côtes de Genève» , EXCALIBUR Visible Micro-rotor Automatic Tourbillion reaches a distinctive and strict standard of superior accuracy and quality, the pinion leaves, the beveling and the cutting of movement parts are all well-polished.

A creative concept is applied in this watch — the first self-winding tourbillion by a micro-rotor. The micro-rotor aperture at 10 o'clock is filleted in rose gold; rotating along with the tourbillion creates a delighting scene as speeding racing. The one-minute tourbillion carriage at 7 o'clock, the appliques in the flange and the use of materials such as mother-of-pearl in combination deliver a high level of aesthetic enjoyment. This exclusive model comes in a single limited series of 88.

EXCALIBUR Bi-retrograde jumping date
Innovative movement design delivers visual excitement
The original-designed movement RD14B with Butterfly Calendar presents a new picture on the market. The dial divided into two sectors retrograde date indicator. The appearance is radically different but also carries the ROGER DUBUIS original touch.

Bi-retrograde jumping date is shown with two independent hands. The subtle play of the Arabic numerals, which border the two symmetrical anthracite bi-retrograde date zones, blends harmoniously with the white gold applique hour-markers. The black inner flange, punctuated with Arabic numerals, encircles the dial and gives it its strong character. The first hand starts on the left going from the 1 st till the 15 th of the month, and jumps back to hide behind the 12. The second hand then starts on the right. The handover is a bated-breath moment that draws attention!

EXCALIBUR Visible Micro-rotor Chronograph
The high-precise timekeeper
Equipped with the new movement RD781 certified by the COSC, EXCALIBUR Visible Micro-rotor Chronograph is a proud craft of ROGER DUBUIS. This product is based on a technical bias with the appearance of the micro-rotor on the dial, highlighting the movement. The visible micor-rotor is decorated on its two sides with the traditional «Côtes de Genève» motif. The dynamic of revolving roman numerals on the dial reminds the micro-rotor revolution. The shades of grey obtained thanks to different material treatments gives to this watch a technical look with a sober and classy appearance at the same time, the same characteristics we find in the actual trend of exclusive high end sports car, boats and other technological products of exception.

All the indications on the plate and counters are realized through an exclusive and unique technology of engraving. This process enables to obtain highly precise and very small details in volume. It is rendering qualitative shades of colours which results in a more masculine and technical aspect. For example, the engraved indications of the chronograph counters are thoroughly illustrating the level of excellence reached thanks to this process, which use on the dial is entirely new in the watchmaking industry.
